The interest in polled cattle has sparked in recent years. At San Miguel Cattle Company, our grey gene pool has always had a few lines of cows that exhibited the polled gene. The polled trait has never been the basis for selection. If the animal made the cut at weaning, there was no notice taken at registration of whether or not it was polled.
 
This year we are adding a fine young polled bull, LV Marblehead 69, to our bull battery. If you are considering polled semen, please look at his pedigree. His bloodlines combine some of the best in the Brahman breed with a polled line that offers more genetic diversity to polled breeding. Semen will be available for domestic and international sales.
